Four school districts serve the Oceanside community area for grades K-12. Oceanside Unified School District, the Vista Unified School District, the Carlsbad Unified School District, and the Bonsall/Fallbrook Unified School District.

Oceanside Unified School District

Oceanside Unified School District provides education services to over 16,600 students with 15 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, 2 high schools, 1 adult transition program, and 1 alternative education school.

We have 31 national board certified teachers, are in the U.S. News & World Report for Best High Schools, and we have a permanent assistant principal and counselor at every elementary school.

Our dual language program offers two-way bilingual immersion that starts in Kindergarten and culminates in grade 8 with Advanced Placement Spanish Language, our Career Tech Education (CTE) provides students with hands-on experiences in 10 high-demand industry sectors, and the arts are supported with elementary instrumental music at all schools and award-winning bands and choirs.

Bonsall Unified School District

CUSD covers approximately 42 square miles and serves a population of over 110,000, as well as the communities of Oceanside and San Marcos.

Vista Unified School District

Vista Unified School District is one of northern San Diego County's largest educational agencies. The District stretches 39 square miles across most of Vista, a large portion of eastern Oceanside, some unincorporated areas and small slivers of Carlsbad and San Marcos.
